November 9, 2003

Dopey me, I didn't give the flash enough time to charge, so this one is a bit dim.  The bench is mostly done, except for putting the shelf in place underneath.

These are two local beggars.  My wife calls them our children.  Not sure why.  Regardless, they came down and gave a hand today.  That's Kendall on the left, and Jeremy on the right.

Here Jer is measuring for screw placement for the bottom shelf.  Kendall is supervising.  At least, I think that's what she calls it.

*Sniff*
My daughter, drilling her first hole.  The drill got a good break-in building these tables.  The trigger now has much finer control than it did out of the box.  Now, if only I can teach her not to tilt the drill...

There's me.  There, now I've proved I exist and am actually working on the project!  We'll almost.  We finished the 1st bench and got the top done for the 2nd, but ran out of wood glue.  That's after using what I had and borrowing a small bottle from my dad.  So, tomorrow I'll buy a bucket for me, and a new bottle for him.

These tables are sturdy!  I'd recommend them to anybody.  Just buy lots of wood glue up front!

The hope is to finish the second table tomorrow, and then finally get started on the real project.  Woot!
