June 8, 2004

I'm not sure how productive I'd call today, but it still seemed like it took forever.  I broke the parts down for the front spar and deburred everything.  After that, I scuffed it up with a scotchbrite pad, and cleaned it w/ the SW cleaner.

And here are the parts, all nicely primed.  I built a platform for my fan to sit in the window to exhaust the fumes.  It had been having a tendency to fall over in a strong breeze.  You can't quite see it but it would be in the upper-left corner of this shot.  I still wear the mask while painting, but the fan keeps the fumes confined to the room.  No more going up thru the ceiling into the living room above.  I can't wait for the weather to improve, when I can paint outside and keep working in the shop.  The weather has been dismal lately.  Lots of rain...daily...
