The inside HS nose ribs need a hole cut in them for the elevator trim cables.  Here's a rough cut after drawing out the hole.  At each end you can see where I used a drill bit to establish the end radius, and then used my dremel with a cutting bit to remove the rest of the material.

I should have taken another close-up shot.  Hopefully you can see that the two holes are a lot smoother than the rough cut up above.  After the dremel, I used a file to finish off the holes.

Time to get started on the cradle.  The darn thing doesn't have to be perfect since it's not a jig substitute.  It's just a tool for holding the HS in place whilst it's being worked on.  I cleco'd the nose and inspar rib together, and used that along with an 1/8" spacer to draw out the initial shape.

After that, I measured how much room I'd need for each block, and started cutting.  This shot is with the depth cut down.

The board has been cut into 4 pieces.  Now to cut out the rib shape.

Am I a great artist or what?  (okay, not really)
I used the trace of the rib+spacer for the first cut, and then used the first block as my template for the others.
