Here you can see the fit of the top VS rib in the skin.  Yes, this is enough to ding the skin if you force it in.  (The ding comes out).  Until I hear from Van's, I'll keep on keepin' on.

Update: Van's said I can either hammer it into shape, or sand it down so it fits.  I'm going to take the sanding route since if I hammer it, it'll throw off the match-drill hole in the flange (as far as aligning with the skin).

Scotchbrited and ready for priming!

Required safety gear, with new filters in place.  Stuff smells nasty, so I'm glad that the mask takes care of it.

VS parts are primed and drying!  Definitely need to work on my painting skills, as some of it is a little lighter than I'd like, but I'll pick it up quick.
