April 2, 2005

No construction photo's for today.  More of the same from 2 days ago.  Finished riveting the skin to the spar on the top, and got about half the rivets driven on the bottom skin-to-spar before calling it a night.  Like I said...see the pictures from 2 days ago...not any different (just the other side).

On another note, however, some visible progress has been made...

This is the upper section of my lot.  The house to the left is a neighbor.  This is where the new shop/garage building is going.  First step is to clear out the trees that are in the way.

I was really impressed the way the logging guys came in took these suckers down.  If you need a logger in the Spokane area, let me know and I'll give ya their name & number.  They'd pick a direction, and that was where the tree would go.  A couple of trees by the property line made me a bit nervous with how close they were to the neighbors house, but the trees never even got close when they came down.  *whew*

Supposedly excavation & site prep will be starting this week.
